For years, Mr. Adeyemi grew just enough yam to feed his family—nothing left to sell, nothing to save. One bad harvest meant hunger.

Then he joined our Sustainable Agriculture Program—and everything changed.

With training in crop rotation, access to quality seeds, and a shared tool bank, Mr. Adeyemi doubled his yield. He joined a cooperative of 15 farmers, pooled resources to rent a truck, and now sells surplus crops at regional markets. Last season, he bought his daughter a new school bag—and saved for seeds for next year.

This is the power of sustainable agriculture.

At Friends of Akindele, we don’t just give seeds—we grow systems.
Our approach includes:
🌱 Climate-smart farming techniques
🌱 Farmer cooperatives for collective bargaining
🌱 Post-harvest storage solutions
🌱 Mobile training via local extension workers

We’ve trained over 100 smallholder farmers in the past year—80% of them women. And the ripple effect is real: more food, more income, more dignity.

When you empower a farmer, you feed a community for generations.
