When my father passed away, I thought my schooling was over. My mother sells akara by the roadside, and after paying rent and feeding my two younger brothers, there was nothing left for my JSS fees.
After my husband died, people stopped visiting. Some even said I brought bad luck. The market women wouldn’t lend me stock anymore. I went three days without food so my children could eat pap.
